Since the survey closed, we’ve been reading the results to understand more about the needs of our alumni community. Here are some of the key findings and the ways that they will inform our work in future:

 

92% of alumni feel proud to be associated with King’s

King’s has had a huge impact on the lives of alumni around the world, and it’s wonderful to see so many of you taking pride in your connection with the University. We’re always looking for opportunities for you to strengthen that bond and, with just under half of you feeling actively engaged with King’s, we will do more to make sure we’re sharing the right stories and activities with you. 76% of you said you’d love to get involved with volunteering

It’s clear that the King’s ethos of service to society stays with our community throughout their lifetime. And when our alumni invest their time in the next generation - whether it’s through mentorship, industry collaboration, or leading alumni groups - they have direct involvement in shaping students’ futures. There are a range of opportunities to get involved by sharing your time, expertise, and connections to help amplify King’s impact in the world.

83% of alumni give to charity in some form

Our alumni community is a hugely generous one with giving rates far exceeding the UK average of 55%. However, most alumni are unaware of the crucial impact that donating to King’s has on the world-class research and education that takes place here.

We’re always looking to champion the exceptional work taking place at the University and the people who help make it all possible, so we’ll be sharing the stories of the academics and donors working hand-in-hand to solve some of the world’s toughest challenges. King's alumni have a thirst for knowledge and further learning

Data showed us that King’s alumni are always on the lookout for new opportunities to learn. Be it through short courses for those looking to make a step change in their careers, or a simple desire to keep engaging with new and challenging ideas.

We can do more to raise awareness of our alumni benefits and discounts

Whilst most of you were interested in the benefits we offer to alumni, 88% of respondents were unaware of the full benefits package.

How do I access campus?

You can access King’s campuses by showing your King’s Connect profile at reception. Please note you will need to have an up-to-date profile photo on your profile page.

What alumni benefits and discounts are there?

We have a wide range of alumni benefits and discounts available, from access to JSTOR and King’s libraries to discounts on theatre tickets, gym memberships and retail outlets. Visit the Alumni Benefits page for more information and sign up to King’s Connect to access the discount codes.

 

Where can I find more information about careers support?

King’s graduates can access a range of events and services from our Careers & Employability team for up to two years after graduation. We also run our How to… Series of online webinars featuring fellow alumni sharing the support and guidance on building your career.

How do I receive information about local events?
