At the International Conference on Integrated Care
Unit Director discussed coordinator, navigator and link worker roles

Unit Director Prof Annette Boaz was in Birmingham earlier this month, at the International Conference on Integrated Care 2026, running a workshop with international colleagues Yvonne Zurynski and Nick Goodwin.
The workshop session was: Working between systems: Exploring role scopes and strategies for more seamless embedding of coordinator, navigator and link worker roles in integrated care.
This topic sits within one of the Unit's core projects in its current Policy Research Unit contract, New Roles in Health and Social Care. Research team members at King's, Prof Boaz with Antonina Semkina and Caroline Norrie, have collaborated with international partners in a systematic review, with a paper published in October 2025 (below).
Prof Yvonne Zurynski, Professor of Health System Sustainability at Macquarie University, was a visitor at the Unit in May 2025. Prof Nick Goodwin recently took up a position at the National University of Singapore.
