The King’s Business School International Management MSc programme has been included in the FT’s closely watched list of the world’s leading management Masters programmes.

The FT Masters in Management ranking scores programmes on a wide range of factors, from the salaries of their alumni, their progression three years after completing the degree, graduates’ international mobility, value for money, the international diversity of the classroom.

The King’s Business School International Management MSc was ranked overall sixth in the UK and 92nd out of the hundred programmes included in the ranking. It was rated especially highly for career progress since graduation (12th globally), for the international mobility of its alumni (33rd globally, with many students working outside both the UK and their home countries), and 42nd for overall satisfaction.

I am very proud that we have received this mark of distinction. The team has worked hard to meet the needs of our ambitious, globally minded students; introducing more opportunities for them to stretch themselves and build their professional skills. Increasingly, alumni will benefit from their King’s Business School education long after graduation, with our new International Alumni Council and alumni chapters in the UK, China and India providing advice, support and community especially for those establishing themselves in their careers.

Having served as Programme Director, I know how much our students expect of themselves and of us, so achieving a strong placing for overall satisfaction is a particularly proud achievement. Under the guidance of our new programme director, Dr Kamini Gupta, I am certain that the programme will go from strength to strength and ensure that our students are equipped for successful and rewarding careers in an increasingly competitive global landscape.

The Masters in Management is always evolving, and recently we have added more choice, including internships and consulting options for student’s capstone projects. We have also made London our classroom, through an expanding network of businesses that provide input into our careers offering, expertise as guest speakers and host field trips to our city’s array of local and globally connected companies.

Dr Kamini Gupta, Senior Lecturer in Business and Society & International Management MSc Programme Director

The International Management MSc provides students with a deep understanding of management decision-making, including the different cultural, economic and political contexts international businesses operate in. Students are typically very early in their careers, from a variety of academic disciplines and learn from staff that are leaders in their fields and through practical, hands-on sessions with industry experts.
