King’s Business School has been re-awarded the Small Business Charter, a national accreditation recognising excellence in supporting small businesses, student entrepreneurship and the local economy.

The five-year re-accreditation reflects the School’s sustained impact across enterprise education, business engagement and regional growth.

The Small Business Charter is awarded to business schools that demonstrate a clear and effective contribution to small business support and economic development.

The award enables us to offer the Help to Grow: Management programme, a nine-week course designed to support small and medium-sized business leaders to scale and strengthen their organisations.

Since launching the programme in 2023, the School has delivered multiple cohorts, supporting dozens of businesses to improve performance, streamline operations and plan for long-term growth.

One participating employment law firm reported revenue growth of 9.5% and a 38% increase in profit after completing the course, alongside a 27% reduction in administrative costs through operational improvements.

Delivered in partnership with the UK government and the Small Business Charter, Help to Grow combines online learning with face-to-face sessions, mentoring and peer support. Participants gain practical expertise in areas such as financial management, innovation and digital transformation, while building networks to support long-term growth.

We are delighted to have secured a five-year re-accreditation from the Small Business Charter, reflecting our continued commitment to entrepreneurship education and support for SMEs. This achievement aligns with our focus on inclusive and sustainable growth. It also enables us to continue delivering the Help to Grow: Management programme, and we thank all colleagues and partners who contributed to the application and panel visit.
