The winners of the 2026 King’s Education Awards have been announced, celebrating the outstanding contributions of colleagues across the University who shape and enhance the student experience.

This year marks a significant evolution for the awards, reflecting the breadth of excellence and innovation across King’s diverse community. With more than 9,000 colleagues contributing to education, the refreshed awards recognise both academic and professional services staff through a new two-stream approach: Colleagues’ Choice, nominated by staff, and Students’ Voice, nominated by students.

Nearly 2,000 nominations were received across both streams this year, highlighting the depth of talent and commitment across the King’s community. Shortlisted nominees from both streams were recognised at the King’s Education Awards ceremony on 18 June 2026, where the eventual winners were revealed – a celebration of the King's community’s creativity, dedication and impact on education.

Colleagues’ Choice winners

The Colleagues’ Choice awards recognise peers who have made exceptional contributions to education across faculties and professional services. Each faculty selected their own winners from the nominations, and these winners formed the shortlist for the University-wide awards. Final winners were then chosen by a panel of staff and students.

The King’s Education Awards are run by King’s Academy, the education ‘Think Tank’ for the University, focusing on strategic educational priorities of the institution, fostering a supportive and progressive academic culture, and developing teaching and learning practices for the continuous improvement of education and student experience at King’s.
