King's launches BA in Global Media and Languages
A new undergraduate degree in Global Media and Languages is now available at King’s with the Department of Culture, Media & Creative Industries and the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures.

Global Media and Languages BA combines an understanding of media, communication and culture with the development of language skills in French, Spanish, German or Portuguese.
Students can choose from a range of interdisciplinary modules to meet their needs and interests, with topics in film, media, digital culture, politics, music, literature and cultural industries.
The course includes a compulsory year abroad, giving students invaluable skills and experience in communication and independence to prepare for their careers. This year abroad can be spent studying, working or teaching at a partner institution in Europe or beyond.
This is a unique programme offering students an excellent understanding of socio-cultural and political impacts of media in everyday life, and how language shapes our communications. The global media landscape is fast-developing and expanding. Students will be able to develop and hone their theoretical and professional knowledge on global media within the culture and creative industries, while advanced proficiency in language(s) will position them strongly on national and global platforms.
