Moyin Odeniran (Political Economy, 2026) has been putting his skills to the test in the Bake Off tent, competing against 12 of the UK’s most talented amateur bakers on the popular Channel 4 show.

The former King’s student has sailed through the first two weeks of the competition, winning praise from the judges for his offering in cake week before starring in biscuit week in the second show.

Alongside his studies, Moyin, 22, was a King’s Sport performance athlete, excelling in sprint disciplines. He was crowned U20 county champion in the 100m. He also combined his studies with a part-time baking business which he ran from his home in Essex.

According to his Bake Off profile, Moyin started baking with his mum at just five years-of-age and his baking is inspired by his Nigerian heritage.

The next episode in the series will air on 6 October on Channel 4. It is scheduled to be bread week.
