King's College London has been honoured with a 2025 Best University Award at the Zhaopin China Best Employer Annual Awards, which took place in Sanya, Hainan in December 2025.

Zhaopin, a leading job platform focused on student and graduate recruitment across the region holds the prestigious industry event annually to honour leading employers such as CATL, Chery Group, Xiaomi, Geely, ICBC, ByteDance, along with leading Chinese universities including Peking University, Tsinghua University, and Fudan University, to celebrate excellence in talent development and employment partnerships.

The Best University Award acknowledge’s King's successful collaboration and partnerships which have been instrumental in fostering meaningful connections between talented graduates and leading employers in China and King's is one of few UK institutions to be honoured.

Huge thanks to Zhaopin for this prestigious award, recognising the continued development of our employability focus in China and partnerships with employers, alumni and local organisations which continue to drive our labour market intelligence to support our graduates.

Andrew Wright, Associate Director (Employer Engagement & Work-based Learning)

Our awards success follows a focused plan to strengthen King's employability and careers support in the region, supporting our large Chinese student population through a range of annual programming, and referenced by King's Strategy 2030 ambitions to ensure student success in and beyond the University.

Throughout August 2025, King's Careers & Employability hosted events across mainland China and Hong Kong, with our partners Imperial and LSE, to support students, graduates and offer holders engage with employers and discover the range of opportunities available to them, returning to the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong.

The annual Careers in China events in country are merely the culmination of various other workshops, employer presentations, panels, digital learning pathways and a new work-related learning project ensuring our Chinese graduates and offer holders gain real world work experience with Chinese employers, held across the academic year.

Plans for our 2026 series of events in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong are well underway and the team will also be engaging with King's offer holders across China in March, alongside our institutional leadership.
