New article: Unveiling the Economic Implications of Gaps in Responses to Self-Neglect

Bringing together findings from two Unit-led studies

An open journal

Health & Social Care in the Community today publishes a new paper from Michela Tinelli (LSE) and researchers from this Unit. The article brings together economic findings deriving from two self-neglect studies led from this Unit (focusing on homelessness and on older people).

'The study evidences the importance of a multidisciplinary approach, early interventions, and ongoing collaboration among diverse professionals to ensure a holistic response to the complex needs of vulnerable populations. It emphasises the need for continuous collection of quality data, to enable service evaluation and facilitate efficient resource allocation for integrated care systems, and ultimately to contribute to better outcomes for individuals experiencing self-neglect.' - from the abstract
