Nursing at King's ranked top 2 in the world

For the 8th year in a row, King’s is 1st in the UK and top two in the world for Nursing.

King’s is the UK leader and second in the world for Nursing, according to the 2026 QS World University Rankings by Subject, by the global higher education analysts QS Quacquarelli Symonds. The University has been in the top two in the world for Nursing – and #1 in the UK – since 2019.

I am immensely proud that King’s has been ranked in the top 2 in the world, and #1 in the UK, for Nursing for the 8th year running in the QS World Subject Rankings. This achievement reflects the passion, dedication and excellence of our staff and students to transform health and care globally. At King’s, our cutting-edge education and research programmes continue to inspire future leaders across nursing, midwifery & palliative care to improve outcomes for individuals, families and communities across the world.

Nursing at King’s scored a total of 92% across the performance areas, whilst the world leader scored 92.2%. 

Nursing also contributes to the broad subject area of Life Sciences & Medicine in the QS subject rankings. For 2026, King's is is now in the top 10 in the world for Life Sciences & Medicine, having jumped two places to #9.
