Established in 2015, the King’s Forum on International Dispute Resolution addresses one of the legal profession's most challenging issues: the internationalisation of dispute resolution.

With the rise of globalisation, legal professionals are under pressure to develop the skills and understanding necessary to go beyond matters of national law in areas of international dispute resolution. The Forum and its related activities are designed to facilitate this learning and it regularly invites distinguished speakers to present on the latest developments in this area.

On December 9, Dr. Holger Hestermeyer and PhD student Simon Weber ran a special seminar for LLM students with Professor Martin Hunter, author of the Redfern & Hunter textbook on International Commercial Arbitration. In the seminar Professor Hunter focused on the role of fact-finding in International Arbitration. The event was a unique opportunity to learn from and meet one of the leading authorities in the field of arbitration. Professor Hunter will be returning to the Forum next year for a workshop on “Presentation of Evidence to International Tribunals”.

Professor Holger Hestermeyer described Professor Hunter as, "a good friend and advisor of The Dickson Poon School of Law's LLM in International Dispute Resolution since its inception."

"We are not only grateful, but also lucky to be able to provide our students with the opportunity to benefit from his truly extraordinary experience and expertise in the field of international arbitration."
