Professor Lloyd will be joining King’s as Leverhulme Visiting Professor from May to August in 2026 and in 2027. During his visits, he will work closely with Dr King-Ho Leung (lead applicant and correspondent for this collaboration), Professor Susannah Ticciati, alongside other researchers at King’s Department of Theology and Religious Studies, while he completes a manuscript for a co-authored book with Professor Jonathan Tran (Duke University) on Christianity and race.

Professor Lloyd’s Leverhulme Visiting Professorship at King’s is a major event in the British theology and religious studies. Professor Lloyd's expertise in the study of race, religion and philosophy will not only offer a much-need perspective to important emerging conversations within British theology, but also contribute to King's Department of Theology and Religious Studies' goal of bridging the study of theology and religion and highlighting how religious and theological insights can speak to the most urgent social and political issues we face today.
