WEN Retreat 2026 brings together emerging women entrepreneurs from across the UK
100+ women entrepreneurs attend the Women Entrepreneurs Network (WEN) Retreat 2026 to grow their entrepreneurial ideas and ventures.

The annual event, hosted by the WEN at the Entrepreneurship Institute, invites women at the early stages of idea development and venture growth to access a weekend of inspiring and practical content on all aspects of building a venture.
Expert-led workshops covered vibe coding, personal branding, nurturing your network, financial management, alternative routes to funding, impact storytelling and a legal Q&A. Student and alumni founders on King’s Start-up Accelerator, also shared their start-up journeys to date.
Over the course of the weekend, attendees learnt collaboratively, built their networks, explored entrepreneurial skills for their personal development and learnt all about venture building.
For the third consecutive year, the retreat was open to the local business community and other universities across the UK, enriching the breadth of the community for those present. Amongst the attendees from higher education were students and alumni from UCL, University of Greenwich, London South Bank University, Oxford University, Goldsmiths, Sotheby’s Institute of Art and University of East London. Representation from local business included TERN, Mission Kitchen, INCO-CatalyseHer and Hatch Enterprise.
Being at King's is like coming home. This is the three-day intensive that I needed and could never have imagined in my wildest dreams.

It's such an invigorating experience spending a weekend with women founders collaboratively building innovative and thoughtfully considered businesses. The energy over the weekend was infectious and I hope the community who joined us take away some actionable skills to build the positive impact in the world that they're so capable of. At a time when women are fighting for systemic change, it was a genuine privilege to know that they trusted WEN as a safe space to share their insights, ideas and experiences.
Jessica Horwill, Strategic Project Manager, WEN
The WEN is designed to support all King's students, staff and alumni, who identify as women or non-binary and are comfortable being in a space reflecting on gendered experiences. Joining the WEN increases members’ exposure to entrepreneurial skills, knowledge sharing and a supportive community. All stages and types of ventures are welcome.
It is part of a package of award-winning support, offered by the Entrepreneurship Institute, which has been recognised globally for its outstanding contributions to venture creation.
