Nurses Day 2019

Sunday 12 May is Nurses' Day and the birthday of Florence Nightingale, who was born in 1820.

Florence Nightingale pioneered the use of evidence and data to achieve nursing excellence and her legacy is known throughout the world. In the spirit of Nightingale’s vision, we are committed to delivering world-class education underpinned by evidence-based, best-practice in nursing and midwifery on an international scale.

Nurses are essential in transforming health care and health systems such that no person is left behind, without access to care or impoverished because of their need for health care.

This year, International Nurses Day is celebrating nurses as leading voices in achieving healthcare for everyone, everywhere. Take a look at some our stories on how we’re shaping the future of nursing and healthcare the world over.

I attribute my success to this: I never gave or took an excuse.
