Postgraduate education

Balancing education and your career can be a challenge, but we’ll give you the support you need to make it happen. Because at King’s College London, we believe nothing should get in the way of your success.

In the heart of London, you’ll be surrounded by world-class hospitals. Some of our postgraduate courses include placements at our partner trusts including Guys and St. Thomas’ and King’s College Hospitals.

We’re known around the globe for the impact of our research. So whether you work in practice or research, we’ll share our latest discoveries and expertise to help you become a leader in your field.

Your postgraduate student experience

Settling in at King's

At King’s, you’ll join a supportive community of healthcare professionals who share experiences and discuss challenges the sector is facing.

Joining a society is also a great way to meet like-minded people. The Nursing and Midwifery Society organise talks, seminars and social events.

Supporting your study

To support your learning, we’ll assign you a personal tutor. Throughout your time here, they’ll help you overcome challenges and help you achieve your ambitions.

We know it’s important that our postgraduates have their own space to study. At King’s, you’ll find dedicated areas where you can focus on your work and share ideas with other postgraduate students.

Working with you to improve student life

Our student experience team want you to make the most of your time at King’s. It’s important to us that we keep improving and meet our students’ needs.

If there’s something that you think we could do better, we want to know. We encourage you to talk to a student rep and we’ll work with them to find a solution.

Prioritising your professional development

Part of giving you a valuable experience is giving you opportunities to challenge yourself. Some postgraduates get involved with helping to teach. Others make the most of opportunities to help with our latest research.

Our alumni mentoring scheme also gives you a great chance to learn from one of our graduates. Your mentee will share their experience, help you set career goals, prepare for interviews, and more.
