The scheme offers cover to those who are ‘deemed eligible’ as well as those who are ‘automatically eligible’. As a King’s student on a supernumerary (unpaid) placement, you are covered under the category of deemed eligible. This means that while you are not automatically covered by the scheme, which is designed for employees, claims from people deemed eligible will be individually assessed.
