The Department of Chemistry at King’s College London is inviting applications for several fully-funded PhD studentships in the 2018/19 academic year. This is an exciting opportunity for talented students to join a new and rapidly expanding Chemistry department in a world-leading university.
A focus of the department is to realise the transformative power of Chemistry at the interface with Biology and Medicine. We aim to advance functional biology by moving from a descriptive picture of Life Sciences to a quantitative understanding using chemical principles. We aspire to fabricate entirely new materials with creative fusions of Chemistry and Biology.
Applicants should hold, or expect to gain, a first or upper second class degree in chemistry or a relevant related subject, and be exceptionally motivated for research.
Applications need to be submitted via the King’s College London online application portal. When applying, please select the Chemistry Research MPhil/PhD (full-time) programme and mention your intended Supervisor and their project in the 'Research Proposal' area.
