Innovation and Enterprise

The Department of Informatics features a broad range of research from theoretical work in computer science to the engineering of advanced robots and provides a rich environment for cross-disciplinary work. The resulting research achieves impact through application to business and industrial problems, relevance to healthcare, contributions to standards and also through consultancy and public engagement.

The Department is keen to support and promote innovation and enterprise across several different aspects, including consultancy, executive short courses, industrial projects and collaborations, and student-centred innovation. We are supported in our interactions with business and industry by our Industrial Advisory Board. More details of our activities in this area can be found on these pages.

If you would like more information about consultancy services by any academic from the Department of Informatics, please speak to the Contracts team, who manage all contracted services with external clients.
