Members of the Geometry Group carry out research on topics within the following areas: algebraic geometry, cohomology theories, differential geometry, geometric analysis, homogeneous space, Lie groups, mirror symmetry, and symplectic geometry.
It interacts with other research groups in the Department, including Analysis (via index theory), Financial Mathematics (formulation of SDEs), Number Theory (arithmetic geometry) and Theoretical Physics (special metrics in string theory).
The Group accepts most of its PhD students through the London School of Geometry and Number Theory <https://www.lsgnt-cdt.ac.uk/>, though direct applications to KCL are also welcome. Its members supervise PhD theses and projects for the LSGNT, as well as projects for MSc in Mathematics.
The Group runs a joint weekly seminar with UCL (see the seminar website <https://nms.kcl.ac.uk/yanki.lekili/geometry/>).
