Sarben is a Professor in Theoretical Physics and joined King’s College London in 1996. He became a Fellow of the Institute Of Physics (UK) in 2003 and he served as an Editorial Board Member at both the New Journal of Physics (200-2005) and the Royal Society (2005-2007). He is currently on the Steering Committee at the London Institute of Field Theory and Particle Physics. He served as the Co-chair of DISCRETE 2014 in London. He was the Director of British Universities Summer School in Theoretical Elementary Particle Physics held at King’s College London in 2015.
Quantum field theory, low dimensional field theories, discrete symmetries, string theory inspired effective field theories, decoherence and non-equilibrium effects in astroparticle physics, interface between high energy and condensed matter physics.
