Research Interests:

I am interested in the genetics and underlying biological pathways and mechanisms of common mental disorders with a particular interest in anxiety and depression. I work with data from the Genetic Links to Anxiety and Depression (GLAD) Study to explore anxiety and depression and their subtypes, clarify their genetic relationship and explore the biological component of these disorders by integrating biological and genomic data. I am also interested in understanding the genetic component of environmental risk factors such as reported trauma and the role of subjective experience in self-reports.

The Emotional Development, Interventions and Treatment (EDIT) Lab

The EDIT lab is led by Prof Thalia Eley and consists of post doctoral researchers, PhD students, and both undergraduate and masters students. We study genetic and environmental influences on the development and treatment of anxiety and depression. We are based at the SGDP Centre at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King’s College London.

GLAD: Genetic Links to Anxiety and Depression

The GLAD Study is the largest anxiety and depression project ever undertaken. It was launched in September 2018.

    Project status: Ongoing
