Alec Ross served in the Presidential Administration of Barack Obama for four years as Senior Advisor for Innovation to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. He was awarded the U.S. Department of State’s Distinguished Honor Award for his service. Prior to his service in government, Alec was a social entrepreneur and ran technology and media policy on Barack Obama’s first presidential campaign.
Following his service in government, Ross has served as a Distinguished Senior Fellow at Johns Hopkins University and as a Senior Fellow at the Columbia University School of International & Public Affairs. He is the author of the global bestseller The Industries of the Future.
