
Biography
Dr Alice Creedon is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Diet and Gastrointestinal Health Research group, Department of Nutritional Sciences, King's College London. She completed a BSc in Human Health and Disease at Trinity College Dublin, followed by and MSc in Nutritional Sciences at King's. Dr Creedon completed her PhD in 2021, investigating the impact of plant based snacks on gut microbiota and gut function, with a focus on the impact of mastication on nutrient bioaccessibility from foods and the subsequent gut health effects in healthy adults. In 2021 Dr Creedon was appointed as a research associate and has since worked on several projects investigating the impact of acute and chronic dietary interventions on gastrointestinal, metabolic and cardiovascular health. She is currently investigating the impact of diet on the immune response following vaccination in healthy adults. She has published in a number of peer-reviewed nutrition journals, and has presented her work in national and international conferences.
