
Biography
Amanda Scarlet is an Analyst in the Department of Analytical, Environmental & Forensic Sciences, School of Population Health & Environmental Sciences.
Amanda joined Drug Control Centre in June 2020 having moved to the UK from New Zealand in February 2020. Her background is in analytical chemistry having been awarded a Bachelor of Science majoring in biochemistry from the University of Waikato. Amanda then worked in New Zealand in an analytical chemistry lab for four years as part of the food team testing fruit and vegetables for pesticides and herbicides, and animal products for veterinary medicines. Amanda is based in the Gas Chromography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) team at the Drug Control Centre and have expertise in the preparation and analysis of biological samples for anti-doping purposes.
