Biography
Ana Villarrubia Palacín is currently undertaking her PhD under the supervision of Dr David Marsh in the Department of Physics at King’s College London. Prior to this, Ana obtained her bachelor’s degree in Theoretical Physics and Mathematics at Lancaster University in 2023, and her master’s degree in Quantum Fields and Fundamental Forces at Imperial College London in 2025. Her research focuses on the interplay between Calabi–Yau manifolds and dark matter axion phenomenology.
Research Interests
- String Theory
- Axion Phenomenology
Research

Theoretical Particle Physics & Cosmology
The research focus of the TPPC Group is on tests of new models of particle physics beyond the Standard Model, including supersymmetry, large extra dimensions and strings.
