Biography

"Hi! I'm Angela and I'm the lead Faculty Wellbeing Advisor for the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) and also support Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences (NMES). I joined King's in 2017, initially in Residences then King's Business School supporting Personal Tutors and then joined the Student Wellbeing team in 2021.

I’m passionate about working with people and engaging them in experiences that inspire and empower as well as promoting positive mental health, wellbeing and self-care. I love generating ideas and finding solutions and consider myself to be an empathetic listener which is important as I coach, mentor and encourage students to navigate through their challenges. I also enjoy delivering training and creative workshops such as Student Mind's 'Look After Your Mate', managing exam stress, mindfulness and laughter yoga.

My specialism areas focus around personal safety, addictions, sexual health and domestic violence providing an opportunity to raise awareness, encourage positive choices and safe practice.

In my spare time I’m very active at my church and hold several roles including teaching children, communications and health & safety. I also present a radio show and enjoy singing, graphic design and binging on Netflix!"
