An alumna of the King's History Department, Astrid is now a political theorist analysing how historical ideas and problems shape current public policy, especially with regards to the legacy of colonialism.

First educated in Austria, she holds a BA in History from King’s College London (2015) and an MRes in Political Science from Sciences Po Paris (2017). Astrid is currently undertaking doctoral research at the LSE (2017-2021), where she uses recent legal disputes and historical parliamentary data to analyse how the passage of time affects our judgement of past injustice (thesis title: "Time Will Tell: On the Roots and Rectification of Historical Injustice").

She is a Teaching Assistant for "Introduction to Political Theory" and has previously also worked at UNESCO, the European Commission, the King’s Cultural Institute and the European Forum Alpbach.
