Biography
Brian Eastwood is a Research Fellow at the National Addiction Centre, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN), King’s College London. He holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of Abertay Dundee, an MSc in Addictive Behaviours from the University of Liverpool, an MSc in Psychological Research Methods from Birkbeck, University of London, and a PhD in Addiction Sciences from King’s College London.
Brian has nearly 20 years’ experience working with national datasets, including the National Drug Treatment Monitoring System, with a focus on cross-government data linkage and population-level analysis.
Research Interests
Brian has a strong interest in the application of advanced statistical methods to understand treatment outcomes and improve services for people with substance use disorders. His doctoral work examined latent longitudinal trajectories among individuals receiving treatment for opioid use disorder over a five-year period, and their association with future outcomes.
