Biography

Caroline is the BSc Midwifery Programme Lead and Deputy Head of the Department of Midwifery. She has a special interest in educational practice and pedagogy and is Director of Excellence in Learning and Teaching for midwifery.

Caroline leads the Learning in Practice module for first-year student midwives, and also teaches on the Arts and Humanities, Research Methods and Models of Midwifery Care modules. Her research interests are in the areas of student wellbeing, the use of arts in education and educational provision for professional practice.

Caroline is a registered midwife and King’s alumna, who has worked in all areas of midwifery care, with a focus on community midwifery. She is passionate about supporting women’s rights and choices in childbirth and in facilitating student midwives to be independent, creative thinkers who can truly make a difference in society.
