Dr Cecilia Sanjuan Ortiz

Biography

Cecilia joined King’s College London in October 2025, as a visiting researcher in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry department.

She has expertise in child and adolescent psychiatry, early intervention and youth mental health, and the early trajectories to severe mental illness. Methodologically, she works with real-world clinical data and systematic reviews and meta-analysis, with a focus on translating evidence into clinically useful prevention and early-care pathways.

Cecilia has previously taught medical students at the University of Valencia, contributing to undergraduate teaching in medicine.

She holds a Medical Degree (MD) from the University of Valencia and completed specialist training in Psychiatry at Hospital Universitari i Politècnic La Fe (Valencia, Spain).

She was awarded an Alicia Koplowitz Foundation training fellowship.
