
Biography
Céline is a native French speaker and graduated from University College London with an MA in Francophone Language, Culture and History in 2015 after studying Law and Politics in France. Céline is currently a PhD candidate at UCL. Céline has 19 years of experience in teaching French and English as a Second Language in a variety of sectors with a history of working in the education management industry; she joined King’s College London in 2018. Céline is also an experienced interpreter specialised in contemporary French literature and in marketing, legal and medical documents. Céline is particularly interested in intercultural communication, coaching, and linguistics. Her principal research interests are in the fields of postcolonial France, the Franco-Algerian relationship and cultural studies. Céline’s current research examines the position of the French feminine Other occupying a space between Islamophobia and radical Islam.
