Research Associate
Dr Charlotte Cheadle completed a PhD in Immunology in the Peter Gorer Department of Immunobiology, School of Immunology & Microbial Sciences, in 2019, funded through the MRC and the Asthma UK Centre for Allergic Mechanisms of Asthma. Her research investigated alpha 1 antitrypsin (AAT), a protease made by the liver that protects the lungs, and its effects on immune function. She is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate assessing the effects of real-world particulate matter air pollution on the immune response, and the protective effects of vitamin D.
