Christian completed his undergraduate degree in mathematics at the University of Reading before his PGCE at King's College London. Since then, he has worked mainly in London sixth form colleges and has a particular interest in GCSE mathematics resit students.
Christian has worked as a Head of Department for some years and also worked as a lead teacher on the Maths-4-Life Professional Development Programme run by the Centre for Research in Mathematics Education at the University of Nottingham.
He completed his MA in Mathematics Education in 2018 and continues to take an active role in researching mathematics education. He is a keen supporter of the Association of Teachers of Mathematics and supports the running of the London branch.
Along with other members of CRESTEM, Christian is currently undertaking research into the effect of the recent school shut down on GCSE raths resit students and their teachers.
