Biography

Clara Guest is a Research Assistant in Proliferation Finance at the Centre for Science and Security Studies (CSSS). She currently works on projects related to Weapons of Mass Destruction, proliferation, strategic trade controls, sanctions evasion and cryptocurrencies/new payment systems.

She is also a contributing writer and translator for various publications specialised in international affairs where she writes on geopolitical issues related to the Middle East and Latin America.

Previously, Clara worked in the corporate intelligence sector, including with KPMG’s Forensics team and UK-based security and intelligence consultancies Alaco Ltd and S-RM. Within previous roles, she worked on enhanced due diligence, strategic intelligence and litigation support assignments, with a focus on the Middle East and North Africa and Russia/CIS.

Qualifications

  • BA French and Spanish, University of Southampton
  • MA Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS).
