Lecturer in Philosophy
I studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Sussex and did my MA in Philosophy at King's College London. I returned to KCL and completed my PhD in Philosophy in 2022. Between my MA and my PhD, I worked as a teaching assistant at a secondary school in London.
I am interested in understanding action and agency in all its forms, and in using that understanding to inform our ethical thinking. My PhD thesis explored those questions as they relate to the agency of non-human animals: I argued that animals have moral standing because of their agential capacities, not because they are sentient. I also have research interests in the concepts of interests, value and obligation, as well as historical interests in Aristotle and Marx.
