
Biography
Denford is the Institute Manager at the King’s Global Health Institute, where he oversees operations, supports the delivery of strategic objectives, and strengthens research, practice, and educational collaborations across faculties and with external partners to advance the university’s global health mission. He is also a member of King’s Centre for Global Mental Health.
He has over seven years of experience in global health research, programme management and stakeholder engagement across the UK and sub-Saharan Africa. He coordinates multi-country research projects in Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Zimbabwe and the UK, and has led programme evaluation and community health initiatives in Zimbabwe.
Denford holds an MSc in Social Work from the University of Zimbabwe, where he specialised in health systems strengthening and community health.

Centre for Global Mental Health (CGMH)
The Centre for Global Mental Health (CGMH) aims to address inequities by closing the care gap, and to reduce human rights abuses experienced by people living with mental, neurological and substance use conditions, particularly in low resource settings with a view to contributing to a world where all people living with mental, neurological and substance use disorders can live a life of meaning and dignity.
African Youth in Mind
African Youth in Mind focuses on adapting and testing a stepped care intervention for youth with depression & anxiety in Ghana and Zimbabwe.
