Dr Alexi Drew is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Centre for Science and Security Studies (CSSS). She is currently engaged on a project examining the role of social media on conflict escalation. Her other research interests concern cyber norm construction, emerging technologies and the implications of new technologies and new political actors upon existing security dynamics. She currently also teaches an MA module in cyber security at Charles University in Prague and delivers specific lectures on an ad hoc basis around her research interests. She has a PhD and an MSc in Transnational Security Studies from Royal Holloway, University of London and a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of East Anglia.
