Biography
Emily Wood joined KCL in June 2025 with a background in developmental psychology. Before her role at KCL, she worked at the University of York, where she completed research investigating individual differences in child development using data from twin cohort studies. For example, she looked at how twins differ in language, cognitive and social-emotional development compared to single-born children, and published a paper on this research.
Emily completed a masters degree in psychology at the University of York and completed research internships in several different areas during that time, including how to make university spaces more inclusive for LGBTQ+ students and how to improve audio description quality for blind and partially sighted people.
