Biography
Erica Piovesan is a visiting PhD student from the University of Brasilia. She has been working with schoolchildren from a deprived area in Federal District, Brasília, Brazil.
In 2021, Erica was awarded a scholarship to spend 1 year during her PhD training at King’s College London, working under the supervision of Dr Eduardo Bernabe and Professor Wagner Marcenes.
Her PhD work focuses on clarifying the possible link between dental caries and obesity among schoolchildren, under the Affordable Health Initiative – Health Promoting School programme.
