Biography
Fanny Sandalinas is a Research Associate currently working on the NIHR-funded Iron Dietary Reference value project with Jeannine Baumgartner, Yemisi Latunde-Dada and Karen O’Callaghan. She holds a MSc in Nutrition and Public Health from the University of Montpellier, France and a PhD in Epidemiology and Population Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK.
She holds a joint appointment between King’s College London and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, where she contributes to multi-country research programmes focused on improving diet quality and micronutrient status across the life course. Much of her work focuses on iron, folate, vitamin A and vitamin B12, with application to maternal and child health in high and low- and middle-income countries.
Prior to her academic career, she worked with UNICEF in West and Central Africa, where she led programmes on micronutrient supplementation and fortification.
