Biography
Gabriele Sicuro received his PhD in Physics from the University of Pisa in 2015. After two-years as a post-doctoral researcher in the Centro Brasileiro de Pesquisas Físicas in Rio de Janeiro, he held a post-doctoral position at Sapienza Università di Roma, in the group of Giorgio Parisi, from 2017 to 2019. He then joined in 2020 the research group of Florent Krzakala, first at the École normale supérieure in Paris and then at the École Polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, in Switzerland. He joined the Department of Mathematics at King's College London in January 2021.
Research interests
- Statistical mechanics of disordered systems.
- Random optimisation problems, random matching problems, and optimal transportation.
- Statistical physics of inference and learning.
