Biography

Giulia Gentile is a Visiting Lecturer at the Dickson Poon School of Law and a PhD Researcher affiliated with the Centre of European Law at King’s College London. Since October 2018, she has been acting as Pathway Assistant for the European Law LLM Pathway at the Dickson Poon School of Law. Giulia has been research assistant of various staff members of the Dickson Poon School of Law, contributing, among others, to research projects concerning the application of the EU Merger Regulation to State-owned companies and the emergence of authoritarian regimes in the EU. Prior to joining King’s, she worked as a legal research intern at Solvency II Wire (London) and as a trainee lawyer at Clifford Chance (Milan). She holds an LLM in European Law from King’s and a combined bachelor and master’s degree in law from the University of Naples ‘Federico II.’ During her undergraduate studies, she completed an Erasmus exchange programme at the University ‘Descartes’ (Paris V) and won a research grant to conduct research for her final dissertation at the Centre de droit Européen of the University 'Panthéon-Assas' (Paris II). She is a qualified lawyer at the Italian Bar Association.
