Biography

Indhu Shree Rajan Babu is a Visiting Research Associate in the Department of Medical & Molecular Genetics at King’s College London and a Research Associate in the Department of Medical Genetics at The University of British Columbia (UBC). She obtained her Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics and Diagnostics from the National University of Singapore and joined UBC as a Michael Smith Health Research BC Postdoctoral Trainee. Her research focuses on rare disease diagnosis using next-generation and long-read sequencing and optical genome mapping technologies and the development of computational tools and pipelines to analyse genomic datasets. She investigates the roles of novel genes and genetic variants, particularly the involvement of short tandem repeats and their expansions in neurological diseases.
