Biography

Dr Karaked Chantawarangul is a Visiting Research Fellow in the Paediatric & Population-Based Dermatology Research Unit at the St John’s Institute of Dermatology. Alongside her role at King's, Dr Karaked is a Consultant Paediatric Dermatologist at the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand.

She completed her medical degree, paediatric training, and subspecialty training in paediatric dermatology at Chulalongkorn University. Dr Karaked's work integrates patient care, clinical research, and education, driven by a passion to improve the lives of children living with chronic skin diseases, particularly atopic dermatitis.

Her primary interests lie in translational and population-based research to advance the understanding of paediatric skin conditions, with a specific focus on diverse populations and low- and middle-income country (LMIC) settings. She is committed to advancing international research collaboration and improving access to specialist dermatologic care globally, aiming to bridge clinical practice with population-based data to inform better health policies and management strategies for paediatric skin health worldwide.
