Biography
Responsible for daily operation of the Cyclotron and Radiochemistry Laboratory (CARL) facility, financial management, coordinating technical maintenance and support, and support to laboratory users incl. training for access, scientific guidance and H&S issues.
Karin Michaelsen Nielsen is a radionuclide production specialist with essential expertise in cyclotron and targetry and a certified GMP radiochemist with broad technical and managerial as well as scientific experience from University Hospitals in Denmark (>10 years). She has worked in all areas of radiochemistry from tracer development to preclinical evaluation and clinical translation, including cyclotron lab management, maintenance coordination, radionuclide production for distribution and sales, teaching cyclotron and radiation safety courses, and supporting students, researchers, and technical staff.
