Lewis joined King’s in July 2017 as a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work with Dr Sam Norton on a joint funded project from MQ, a mental health charity, and Versus Arthritis. The project is looking at the long-term progression of mental health outcomes in adults with rheumatoid arthritis. It is exploring how mental health is associated with other patient outcomes, such as pain, fatigue and functional disability, as well as its association with inflammatory processes.

Lewis's background is in medical statistics and he specialises in the analysis of longitudinal, observational data. Lewis has special interest in machine learning methods, which he is currently exploring as part of my post-doc here at King’s.

Lewis holds a PhD from the University of Hertfordshire and has a background working in the pharmacy industry in the field of pharmacoepidemiology.
