Biography

Liliana is a PhD student in Psychological Medicine at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neurosciences at King's College London. Her expertise includes quantitative and qualitative research in global mental health, specifically focusing on common mental disorders such as depression and anxiety.

She completed her MSc in Global Mental Health at the University of Glasgow and holds a BA in Clinical Psychology from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Her current doctoral research uses mixed methods to investigate the impact and experiences of remote versus in-person mental health consultations. Prior to her PhD, she coordinated international projects aimed at building resilience in Latin American youth and served as a Principal Investigator exploring the association between maternity leave policies and postpartum depression.

Liliana has teaching experience as an assistant at both the Universidad Antonio Ruiz de Montoya and the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Her research is currently supported by a doctoral training partnership from the Economic and Social Research Council (UK) , and she previously received a workplace mental health commission from The Wellcome Trust.
