
Biography
Lydia is currently a Research Associate on the DIAdIC (Dyadic Psychoeducational Interventions for people with Advanced cancer and Their Informal Caregivers) study. Before joining the Cicely Saunders Institute in 2021, Lydia started her career as a community pharmacist where she developed an interest in supporting people with cancer. This inspired her PhD research, which explored the role of the community pharmacist in breast cancer services. She has further been involved in studies exploring the impact of workforce planning software in domiciliary care services and evaluating a specialist frailty intervention for older people.
Lydia earned her undergraduate degree, Master of Pharmacy, from the University of Hertfordshire in 2009 and her Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacy from the University of Nottingham in 2020. She is also a registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
