Máirtín joined King's College London in 2017 as a researcher working with the Nicotine Research Group (NRG) in the Addictions department. He completed his PhD in Health Psychology at King’ College London, designing and evaluating a cognitive stop smoking intervention delivered in primary care. Following this, Máirtín has held research positions both in the UK (University College London, King’s College London) and Australia (University of Wollongong, Australian Catholic University). 

Research Interests

  • Developing and evaluating stop smoking interventions;   
  • Identifying the predictors of health behaviours 
  • Identifying the best methods to facilitate health behaviour change.
