Biography

Maria Cristina graduated in Philosophy in Trieste, Italy and then achieved a MPhil in Ancient Philosophy at King's College London. She completed a PGCE in Classics at Cambridge and taught Classics for several years, mostly at A levels. Maria Cristina also taught Italian to adults at various Universities. She currently teaches Latin part-time while studying for a PhD on the topic of personal identity, and with the aim to combine Philosophy of Mind and Ancient Literature. Maria Cristina loves teaching Latin and Greek, languages which she finds fascinating for their sophistication and flexibility, their wide and varied, thought provoking written tradition. Maria Cristina enjoys exploring archaeological sites, museums and cities. Maria Cristina also loves fine Arts and Music, especially Early, Baroque, and Contemporary Classical music and Jazz and reading contemporary Literature.
